We’re giving one lucky reader the chance to enjoy a meal for two at the recently opened Queen of Hockley! Situated on Broad Street in the heart of the ever popular Hockley, the pub’s name is a nod to its sister establishment, the Queen of Bradgate, one of Leicester’s finest independent pubs with a great reputation for food, craft beers, cocktails and wines.
The owners of the Queen of Hockley aim to run this pub in the same successful way, serving excellent food, drink and music in a relaxed, cool environment and upping the tempo at weekends with live bands and DJ’s.
The food menu includes tasty pub classics such as fish and chips, chilli with pulled beef and pie and mash, as well as tapas-style small plates and sharing boards. Sundays offer delicious roasts, generous portions with all the trimmings, Bloody Mary’s and old school DJ’s playing a vinyl soundtrack from 3-7pm.
Other highlights include a diverse craft beer menu, fine wines, warm and friendly service and a daily ‘Happy Hour’ with 2-4-1 on cocktail classics including Porn Star Martinis, Palomas and Long Island Ice Teas.
